Our holiday home in the Veluwe

The combination of peace, nature and the opportunity to be active makes this place so special to us. That's why we chose to realize our own holiday home here in the Veluwe: a place where you can really recharge.

Why this place?

Our chalet is located in Hoenderloo, in the heart of the Veluwe forests, at recreation park De Rimboe & De Woeste Hoogte. We found it important that it's not too far from home, so we can also spontaneously get away. As soon as you arrive, you notice it immediately: here it's all about space, silence and being outdoors. No rush, no hustle, just nature around you.

Our favourite moments

One of the nice moments of the day is the morning: starting quietly with a cup of coffee or tea and looking out at the forest around the house. You regularly see birds in the trees and with a bit of luck a squirrel also shows itself. A simple start to the day, but that's exactly why it's so nice.

What we like so much

What we like so much about the Veluwe is the variety. One day we do nothing at all and just enjoy the peace. And on other days we go out: walking, cycling or a trip nearby. Mike, for example, is often on the mountain bike, and for that this area is perfect.

The house

We put together the interior of our holiday home with great care. We wanted it to feel cosy, warm and comfortable, but also practical. A place where you feel at home right away, whether you come as a family, as a couple or with a group of friends. After a day outdoors, we love to end the day with a barbecue in the garden, or with a quiet evening indoors.
